Three years after leaving Portland for the milder skies of Los Angeles, Blackwater Holylight signs with Not Here Not Gone its fourth album, the fruit of a period of uncertainty and renewal. Cut off from its bearings, the band found in this uprooting the material for a work where freedom is born from risk. Recorded at Sonic Ranch near El Paso with producer Sonny Diperri (Narrow Head, DIIV, Emma Ruth Rundle), the album explores as never before the duality between strength and fragility.
