Disco club

Description

First reissue of the foundational album by Bernard Fèvre aka Black Devil Disco Club. Sampled by the Chemical Brothers, rediscovered by Aphex Twin, the legendary French producer celebrates here his 40 years of electronic career. Pioneer of the home studio, precursor of the French touch, adored worldwide by the younger generation, Bernard Fèvre himself carried out the restoration and remastering work from the original Revox tapes of the era. This is exactly the sound of the 70s as he heard it in the studio. A meticulous work that highlights his work, still avant-garde, which places him alongside the greatest: Giorgio Moroder, John Carpenter or even Kraftwerk.'Disco Club' signed under the name Black Devil is the last album of the reissued trilogy. It is the final result of Bernard Fèvre's transformation into a mysterious, mythical and eternal character: credits are attributed to Junior Claristidge (another pseudonym of Fèvre), the cover depicts a demonic black diva and the album title leaves doubt about the creator(s). 'Disco Club' is a masterpiece of 6 long phantasmopsychic songs, recorded with a drummer whose sessions were looped, which gives the record this very particular, very hypnotic groove. All this well before Daft Punk had the idea of putting on robot helmets or calling on Nile Rodgers to give depth to their music. 'Disco Club' is the only legal festive drug; good for all lovers of futuristic production and eternal melodies.
