'Drawing Restraint 9' is a soundtrack created by Björk in collaboration with her partner Matthew Barney for his film of the same name. This album was first released in August 2005. Today we are offering it to you in a vinyl version. For this project, Björk traveled to Japan to study ancient Japanese music. Several tracks are made with the sound of the sho, a Japanese instrument that contains 16 different reeds; the sho performances are by Mayumi Miyata, one of the greatest sho players in the world. She also appears in the film, playing her instrument.
