Bin Wang, a Chinese pianist, introduces us to the traditional music of her country by performing works by the great Chinese composers of the 20th century. Traditional Chinese art is still relatively unknown in the West. Like the sublime prints and calligraphy, traditional Chinese music is poetic, suggestive, light, and fluid... With this new album, Bin Wang's piano takes us on a journey through the great picture book of China. She plays works by major Chinese composers of the 20th century. With the piano (a Western instrument that arrived in China at the end of the 19th century), these artists discovered an instrument capable of expressing the poetry of traditional Chinese music. Bin Wang, who is Franco-Chinese, shares her dual culture with us. She introduces us to the music of these composers. In this second volume, she has gathered works inspired by traditional songs as well as music from minorities from different regions of China.
