Phantom Brickworks (LP II)

Description

Originally released in 2017, PHANTOM BRICKWORKS is an ever-evolving ambient/drone project conceived by Stephen James Wilkinson, aka Bibio. This work explores the human echoes that persist in various locations across Great Britain. Wilkinson visited these sites, observed their gradual decline, and responded with music that is both improvised and composed.In 2024, Bibio presents a sequel titled PHANTOM BRICKWORKS (LP II), a 10-track LP mastered by GuyDavie and cut to vinyl by Hendrik Pauler. This new album highlights new sites: some are vast scars on the natural landscape, others survive only in local memories, historical clips, or photographs. A few are hidden from ordinary view, while some exist only as legends and stories.
