The magical encounter between two exceptional musicians!
It's been four years since Beth and Joe released their album "Seesaw." Since then, they've both continued their separate paths in the studio and on stage with the success we know. So, it was the perfect time to reunite their incredible duo with 10 soul gems that are sure to captivate you!
Once again under the guidance of the extraordinary producer Kevin “The Caveman” Shirley, Beth and Joe deliver a sumptuous roller-coaster of an album that delves deep into the Soul catalog, reinventing and paying tribute to essential tracks. We rediscover masterful covers of songs by Edgar Winter, Etta James, Ike & Tina Turner/Steve Marriott, Ella Fitzgerald, Lil’ Green, LaVern Baker, Howlin’ Wolf, Lucinda Williams, and Waldeck.
“Lullaby of the Leaves” is one of the lesser-known songs, recorded by Ella Fitzgerald. Beth would never have covered Ella Fitzgerald without Joe. Thanks to Joe, she manages to sing songs she’s always wanted to sing but felt incapable of performing.
“Sitting On Top of The World” is another classic, and this version offers a beautiful contrast between Bonamassa's guitar and Reese Wynans' keyboards, while Hart's voice propels the song into the stratosphere.
Part of the duo's challenge and pleasure lies in choosing and presenting tracks that are unfamiliar to the general public. All the magic then lies in the alchemy between Beth's singing and the inspiration it gives to Bonamassa and Kevin Shirley to perfectly cement the musical part of the tracks, thus once again giving us a timeless and undeniable album!
