Trio à cordes Quintette pour piano
Description
The Lockenhaus International Chamber Music Festival is considered one of the most prestigious festivals in Austria: it was founded by violinist Gidon Kremer to offer a new vision of chamber music and to create opportunities for musical exchanges in an intimate setting. In 2012, cellist Nicolas Altstaedt succeeded Gidon Kremer and continues the spirit of the festival. For this first recording in partnership with Lockenhaus, he is joined by seasoned collaborators, including Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang, Hungarian violinist Barnabás Kelemen, German pianist Alexander Lonquich – who recently released a Schubert album (Alpha 433) – and British violist Lawrence Power. Together they have selected two works, a quintet by Béla Bartók, a demanding composition rarely performed although considered an intensely personal piece, and a trio by Sándor Veress, who was a student of Bartók. Nicolas Altstaedt joins Alpha for several recording projects that will showcase the full range of his talents across very eclectic repertoires.Buy Trio à cordes Quintette pour piano at the best price
