What a Pleasure, the renowned EP from Brooklyn bedroom pop pioneers Beach Fossils, is being reissued for the first time since its 2011 release! This new work from songwriter Dustin Payseur is the successor to the band's self-titled debut album. It subtly explores dreamy guitar sounds, lush synthesizer arrangements, and introspective lyrics. Born from late-night improvisation sessions with band members and longtime collaborator Jack Tatum (Wild Nothing), What a Pleasure enriched Beach Fossils' sound world and gave rise to some of Payseur's most memorable tracks. The EP has become a classic for fans of the band, and many of its songs are still played live by Beach Fossils today. This reissue of What a Pleasure will be released on Payseur and his partner Katie Garcia's label, Bayonet Records, and will include a limited yellow vinyl edition.
