Broadcasting The Blues: Live from Germany to Sweden

Description

"Broadcasting the Blues: Live from Germany to Sweden" celebrates the centenary (1925 - 2025) of the "King of the Blues" B. B. King and is the first official release of two concerts recorded live for television. The first television broadcast, "Swing In", was recorded on January 19, 1968 and broadcast on the German channel WDR. A second concert followed, recorded on October 29, 1973 at the Konserthus in Stockholm, Sweden, and broadcast on Swedish television (SVT). This official edition, produced in collaboration with the estate of B.B. King and Reelin' In The Years Productions, was transferred from the original tapes, restored and mastered by Matthew Lutthans at the Mastering Lab. The double CD includes a booklet with rare photographs by Philippe Gras, previously unpublished liner notes by author Jean Buzelin and an interview with Derek Trucks, modern blues guitar icon. All tracks are previously unreleased!
