It was one of our greatest successes. Today, we return to another key chapter in Barbara's career: the exceptional soul album she recorded in Chicago for Stax's Enterprise label in the late 1960s. Produced by her longtime collaborator, Ollie McLaughlin, "The Many Grooves of Barbara Lewis" elevates the singer's smooth, natural voice with a much rawer sound than her Atlantic tracks.
