Achieving musical transcendence is a difficult feat; if it happens, it happens naturally, and certainly no one knows this better than Band of Horses. Guitarist/vocalist Ben Bridwell and bassist Mat Brooke formed Band of Horses in 2004, after the dissolution of their band, Carissa's Wierd. Having played music with each other for over a decade, Bridwell and Brooke reconnected when Bridwell began to flesh out his post-Carissa compositions. Driven by Bridwell's warm vocals, the dreamy songs overflow with tension, longing, and hope. At times thorny and delicately pensive, Everything All the Time is a magnificent album that depicts fragile highs and lows.
