THE ALBUM "ELEKTRIK MAKOSSA" CONSISTS OF TEN TRACKS RECORDED IN BORDEAUX, AT BACO RECORDS STUDIO, IN APRIL 2019Bafang bridges continents, between Central Africa, their family cradle, which always prioritizes sincerity, spirituality, and human warmth, and this Europe that has always nurtured their musical culture. From their original Cameroon, the city of their grandparents giving its name to their duo, the two brothers, Enguerran the drummer and Lancelot the guitarist, have kept the art and the way of grasping the inexpressible, of letting dreams take precedence over reality. From the Caen scene that saw them grow up and rub shoulders with alternative influences, they have drawn an energy that knows no limits or boundaries to better create a universe where diverse sounds and horizons mingle, a dizzying big bang where the stage energy and rock urgency of Royal Blood would merge with Hendrix's flamboyant guitar, where the desert heat magnified by Tinariwen's blues would take on the festive colors of Manu Dibango's makossa or the unstoppable groove of Earth, Wind and Fire.Furious pilots of their afro rock pirogue, they sweep us along the tumultuous waters of an exuberant river.
