Amour Colosse

Description

It all started with the birdsong. In March 2020. As all of humanity retreated indoors, birds, the smallest wildflowers, deer, and what we once called "weeds" reclaimed the space we had taken from them. In the streets, on roundabouts, and along wide boulevards, small wild forests took root. In our "homes," big or small, we rediscovered the weight and steam of Time, the depth of emptiness, and the immense value of what we once considered small things, "trifles." We learned to live together again, while being separate — to cherish that small corner of the world we called home, and those with whom we shared it. In these songs, there are melodies I wanted to be clear enough for my daughter to understand and sing, if she wished. There is, I believe, a lot of love. A lot of worry too. Or perhaps just the echo of a blackbird's song, and a small hut to shelter it.
