Flirting with a hybrid soul-folk, singer-songwriter Awa Ly is just like her discography: on a journey. Practicing soul music, she transforms emotions into sounds with a spiritual and universal dimension. After the acclaimed Five And a Feather (2016) and Safe and Sound (2020), she releases her third album: Essence and Elements. This introspective and meditative journey, driven by a fusion of musical genres, was born on the island of Alicudi, in the Aeolian archipelago, where Awa Ly regularly goes to recharge her batteries. There, inspired by the silence, she embraces nature, which in turn embraces her: the wind, the waves, the crackling of flames, and the creaking of trees whisper melodies and lyrics to her. Breaking free from the world's tumult, she immerses herself in the elements that surround her (Earth, Water, Air, Fire) to compose and write her new album, co-produced by Nicolas Repac (Earth), Hannah V (Air), Lossapardo (Water), Léonie Pernet (Fire) & Polérik Rouvière.
