Like an endless stream of waves, AU’s third album, *Both Light*, is a recurring dream. The 11 tracks were written by the Portland, Oregon duo Luke Wyland and Dana Valatka, exactly three years after the release of the album *Verbs* in 2008 and the *Versions* EP in 2009. A monument of extreme composition, this album could be the symbiosis of collaborations and isolation. Born from improvisations in Luke Wyland's attic, the album now features long-breathing saxophonist COLIN STETSON, post-minimalist artist HOLLAND ANDREWS, musicians Nick Sweet and Alex Milsted on brass, and Sarah Winchester on backing vocals (as on every AU album).
