Asia is an English rock band that formed in 1981. The 2008 album 'Phoenix' (never released on LP) is the band's first studio album with its original lineup in a quarter of a century. Sonically, this emotional, convincing comeback album finds Asia maintaining the very high standard it set in 1985, still demonstrating a smooth flexibility when it comes to expanding on multi-part suites, while retaining their knack for big arena pop hooks. The cover features unique artwork by world-renowned rock music artist Roger Dean. Phoenix is the tenth studio album by British rock band Asia, released in 2008. It was the first studio recording with the original lineup after the 2006 reunion. John Wetton - lead and backing vocals, bass guitar -- Steve Howe - electric, acoustic and steel guitars, harmony vocals on "Wish I'd Known All Along" -- Geoff Downes - keyboards -- Carl Palmer - drums, percussion.
