The album *Static Crash* is magical, one of the best Gothic ethereal pop/noise releases from the American underground in years. Originally released in 2003, the album garnered very few fans. From 2005 onwards, reissues began as the band disintegrated, and six years later the album was sold out on vinyl. Success grew, and Mexican Summer decided to reissue Ashrae Fax's entire discography, starting with *Static Crash*. For the occasion, the band reformed to play live.
