Ronald Stevenson (1928-2015) was perhaps the only virtuoso pianist-composer, in the manner of Rachmaninoff and Liszt, to have Celtic origins. It is therefore natural to find a Celtic flavor in his music, both in his transcriptions and in his original compositions.
