Koar

Description

The project for the album Koar stems from a desire by Baptiste, Elouan, and Julien to mark a milestone in the life of ZOÑJ following the arrival of the chromatic accordion in the trio. Since 2022, in this new configuration, the group aims to share their music with a wider audience, with this first step in front of the microphones scheduled for February 2026. This step will allow them to evolve in their professionalization by offering a phonogram that reflects the colors of today's ZOÑJ. This will support the group's dissemination and promotion. After three intensive years of creating pieces for the stage, it is now time for the trio to take a moment for reflection to mature and consider their repertoire as a work to be showcased on a record. It was time for the three musicians to share their love for connection, nurturing and confirming a bridge between Trégor and Haute-Bretagne. The group's strong presence and anchoring in the regional fest-noz scene have allowed them to develop over the years. On this album, it became evident for them to invite and showcase a prominent Breton voice that they feel is underrepresented: that of Anjela Lorho-Pasco, a singer from the Vannes region (Kreiz Breizh Akademi #4, Lorho-Pasco/Lintanf, Segal, Barba Loutig).
