Mario Benedetti: Fictions Geografías - Rémy Souvay - guitar - Ana Pozuelo Alba - piano Fictions brings together guitarist and composer Rémy Souvay (Trio Toucher, 100 Tanka Songs; Hotel Parker, Le temps de l’innocence) and pianist Ana Pozuelo Alba (album Orchestrales with Elise Caron and Las Malenas; Le rêve et la terre with L’Orchestre de Lutetia) to draw music and its words from a narrative, blurring the lines between reality and fiction. In this way, the musicians reconnect with the ancient art of oral storytelling in front of small audiences (such as the peñas in Montevideo or the taverns in Lisbon) during their concert-readings, while following the uninterrupted flow of dialogue between their instruments, the piano and the guitar, infused with popular music styles such as milonga, tango, or fado.
