Arpanet is none other than the alias of Gerald Donald, a legendary American musician from Detroit. Alongside James Stinson, he was the second half of the duo Drexciya. WIRELESS INTERNET is considered by genre specialists to be one of the best electro albums of all time. It is the first album released under the name Arpanet. The sound that emerges from this album is warm, hypnotic, deep, and sometimes very industrial. The very first track, "The Analyst", is a long monologue spoken by a computer-animated voice. The monologue talks about what the future holds for us in terms of technology and wireless connection. The following track, "Illuminated Displays", is a formidable electro track straight from the abandoned streets of Detroit.
