Her album GATHAS, songs my father taught me, released in spring 2016 (Quart de Lune / UVM / Idol), allowed her to perform on major stages in Europe, Africa, and Asia: a revelation at the Festival of Sacred Music in Fes, Théâtre de la Ville, Strasbourg Cathedral, Indo-Persian Festival (Marseille), Namur Festival (Belgium), World Spirit Festival in Nagaur and Jodhpur (India), Bombay Beach Biennale in California, YBCA in San Francisco, and at the Burning Man Festival (Nevada), earning recognition from the media. // "Magnificent and very moving" New York Times // "Magnificent lyrical voice" Télérama // "Fascinating Ariana Vafadari" DNA // Anahita is a musical creation born from the artistic and intellectual collaboration of two Franco-Iranian women, Ariana Vafadari and Leili Anvar, who conceived the story and wrote the lyrics. Immersed in her childhood in the poetry and Zoroastrian philosophy passed down by her father, Ariana Vafadari was also keen to bring to light the millennia-old writings of Zarathustra, gathered in "The Avesta." In the last track of the album, Ariana Vafadari (the sacred book of Zoroastrians) sings a text by the Persian poet Rumi (1207-1273).
