Winter ethereal

Description

The tight-knit circle of progressive metal expresses its respect for guitarist Jim Matheos and singer John Arch. After 35 years of a career under the Fates Warning banner, they created Arch / Matheos in 2011 and launched the project with the album Sympathetic Resonance. In 2019, they reunited and released Winter Ethereal, an album with more complex stylistic variations that takes the audience through nine completely immersive tracks. Without wanting to present an album in the continuity of Sympathetic Resonance, the duo assured that they took their time to present a new release resulting from thoughtful and mature work. Having started working on the album in 2017, they worked hard on the essence of the project to present a record worthy of Arch / Matheos, thus contributing to the very particular feeling when listening to this album; without that, the uniqueness of Winter Ethereal could not have existed.
