The unpublished arrangements bring a breath of freshness to the repertoire of the Boisnard brothers, and if one had to define the aesthetic choice of "Pop Decennium," one would have to speak of orchestral pop. Nico and Fred were, for the occasion, accompanied by a string quartet and a brass section. "Summer Returns," "I Take," or "Happiness," among others, sound unusual thanks to the work of Christophe Darlot and Hubert Harel, the arrangers of the project. Two guests participated in the recording of "Pop Decennium": Guillaume Aldebert, in a duet on "Rue de la Joie," and Greg Zlap, the famous harmonica player who had already performed on "Trafalgar" and "Méhari."
