He surrounded himself with Pierre Henry Xuereb, Sergio Lamberto, and the Filarmonica di Torino to bring these creations to life. Ennio Morricone, who encouraged him to record his music, finds a prominent place between Michel Legrand and Jean-Claude Petit, the author of a magnificent concerto for mandolin from which the cadence preceding the famous theme of Cyrano de Bergerac is taken. Claude Bolling dedicated this concertante movement to him, where the mandolin, accompanied by strings, swings as much as it sings with the Romance that Francis Lai composed for him in the same orchestration, evoking his childhood to the sound of his father's mandolin. As for the six solos for mandolin by Vladimir Cosma, they are extracted from the 24 caprices that the creator of The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe, La Boum, and a thousand other successes is currently finishing for Vincent Beer-Demander.
