Since Anxious’ inception in 2016, the band has always acted with purpose. This may seem like a simple premise, but for five kids still in high school at the time, it's quite the accomplishment. Early songs found their way out into the world as limited-run demo tapes with zines and hand-dyed shirts. Weekends were filled with regional gigs outside of their Fairfield, CT home base. With this much effort, it's no wonder that within a few short years Anxious had built a strong foundation for their debut album to grow from. On Little Green House, Anxious explores what it’s like to come of age in unflinching detail. The Connecticut band tackle the struggles, joys, and hard-earned realizations in a way that feels surprisingly wise for their age. Catchy songs like the single “In April” and the undeniable “Growing Up Song” tread the often difficult melodic hardcore path in a way that feels both nostalgic of the emo revival of yesteryear and precisely crafted for today’s genre-defying, innovative period.
