Formed in 1991, Angra is undoubtedly one of the most important Brazilian Heavy Metal bands, thanks to its unique blend of metal, rock, Brazilian rhythms, and classical. After four years of absence, the Brazilian band returns with Secret Garden, the first album recorded with its 2 new members: singer Fabio Lione and drummer Bruno Valverde. Produced by the talented Jens Bogren (Opeth, Kreator, Dragonforce), Secret Garden brings together everything that has made Angra's success and makes it unique, with the bonus of prestigious guests: Simone Simons (Epica) beautifully performs the title track, and metal diva Doro Pesch for an exciting duet with Rafael Bittencourt on "Crushing Room." The icing on the cake: the band covers "Synchronicity II" by The Police, which is one of the highlights of the album. Once again, Angra delivers a thoroughly successful album here, further establishing itself as one of the reference bands in progressive power metal.
