{"product_id":"angel-olsen_my-woman_2021_mdl","title":"My Woman","description":"\"My Woman\" is the highly anticipated second album from the American indie queen, following the excellent \"Burn Your Fire For No Witness.\" Anyone careless enough to have categorized Angel Olsen with her last album, \"2013's Burn Your Fire For No Witness,\" is in for a surprise when listening to \"My Woman.\" It's true, her latest releases are more like poetic reverberations, dark folk, grunge pop, epic and haunting. \"My Woman\" is an exhilarating complement to her previous work, on which she adjusts her writing and recording style, with a completely new approach to the composition phase. The songs are punchier, pop\/rock-oriented, longer, deeper, and more reflective. It's a more complex work that demands vocal plurality, and Olsen has expanded her range and placed her voice at the forefront on this album. Between the album title and tracks like \"Sister\" or \"Woman,\" \"My Woman\" tends to be interpreted as a gender statement. She explains that the album isn't really a feminist manifesto, but rather sometimes deals with themes touching on the sometimes complicated situation of women. A seasoned piano player, she swapped it for a synth and\/or mellotron, as you may have noticed on \"Intern.\" She worked on \"My Woman\" with producer Justin Raisen (Charli XCX, Sky Ferreira, Santigold) and also opted for a live recording at the historic Vox Studio, inviting guitarist Seth Kauffman to accompany her core band: Emily Elhaj on bass, drummer Joshua Jaeger, and guitarist Stewart Bronaugh.","brand":"Angel Olsen","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55312221765976,"sku":null,"price":20211231.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/NS04MzQ2LmpwZWc.jpg?v=1779448644","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/angel-olsen_my-woman_2021_mdl","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
