In a career spanning nearly 25 years, multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird has always harbored great musical ambitions, while refining his art through a fascinating discography oscillating between folk, art-pop, and indie rock. A year after releasing 'Inside Problems' in 2022, Andrew Bird now offers 'Outside Problems', its entirely instrumental precursor. Following in the footsteps of his conceptual Echolocations series, this new album was primarily recorded outdoors, amidst the mountains and orange groves of Ojai, California. Its nine tracks capture daily improvisations and melodic explorations, drawing, in places, the sketches for Inside Problems, but also marking a new chapter in a career as prolific as it is unpredictable.
