Originally scheduled for May 19 In 1960, pianist André Previn adapted the greatest hits from the musical West Side Story into a jazz trio format. Accompanied by Red Mitchell (double bass) and drummer Shelly Manne, the arranger and conductor brought a touch of melodic swing to eight themes by Leonard Bernstein, including the timeless 'Maria', 'America', and 'I Feel Pretty'.
