From Melbourne to stages around the world, it all started with Giddy Up/Big AttractionTen years ago, in a share house on Chapel Street, four twenty-somethings wrote and recorded an EP in a single afternoon. Those six blistering minutes of music became Giddy Up. An hour later, Amyl and The Sniffers had a name, an upload on Bandcamp, and the beginnings of a legacy. After a year of backyard shows and parties in Melbourne's sticky music scene, the band released their iconic second EP, Big Attraction, in 2017.Today, to celebrate a decade of raw power and fearless spirit, Giddy Up/Big Attraction returns in a fully remastered 12-inch vinyl 10th anniversary edition, featuring classics like "I'm Not A Loser" and "Stole My Pushbike," and timeless live favorites like "Balaclava Lover Boogie" and "Westgate."The LP comes in a gatefold sleeve with Chris Sutherland's iconic photo, an unpublished essay by Amy Taylor, and never-before-seen shots by Jamie Wdziekonski, capturing the band's energetic and imperfect early days.
