Dreadland

Description

Dreadland is an instrumental Roots Reggae album, the result of several years of work, recently updated by Alien Dread. It now includes the highly requested tracks My Homeland and My Homeland Dub Vs.1. Alvin Davis, a talented Jamaican multi-instrumentalist, plays saxophone, trumpet, trombone, flute, and has collaborated on almost all of Alien Dread's projects. The tracks are inspired by traditional Jamaican Roots Reggae and are carefully produced by Alien Dread and ISR, his long-time co-producer. Among the other musicians, AshaB contributes on congas and percussion, while Steven "Marley" Wright plays rhythm and lead guitar. All the rhythms on the album are performed by Alien Dread with Asha B and Steven Wright. The album is available on CD in Digipack format and as a download. The recordings were made at AD studio, and mastering was handled by Alien Dread and ISR. Dreadland reflects the evolution of Roots Reggae through a long-standing musical collaboration.
