Aluna, half of the British duo AlunaGeorge, is launching her solo career under her own name by joining the Mad Decent & Because Music labels with her debut solo album, "Renaissance." After being critically acclaimed as a singer and performer, Aluna manages all aspects of singing, composition, songwriting, and production of her music. She expresses it best: "Having enjoyed being the main ingredient in many successful Dance tracks, I started wanting to create the entire recipe. I studied the history of Dance Music and saw how, for example, Chicago House, considered one of the earliest forms of House Music, was pioneering in the Black and Latino LGBTQ+ communities. This inspired me to embrace my identity as a Black woman in Dance Music by leading the production and songwriting with my own vibe."
