It presents a textured, avant-pop sound, as exemplified by the first single \"Ordunun Dereleri.\" Mysterious and atmospheric, the track marks the band's evolution, taking the listener into a sound world that resonates with the rhythms of down-tempo electro beats and majestic synths. This album took a different approach to its conception and recording compared to the first two, as each member was stuck at home for three months and had to add their parts remotely. Yol has a dreamy tone, perhaps born from this forced time of introspection. It also features elements of 80s synth-pop. This new musical landscape has been shaped by the choice of instruments, namely the Omnichord and the drum machine. While Yol is still a collective effort from the six members, the album owes much to its production team, Asa Moto (a producer duo based in Ghent consisting of Oliver Geerts and Gilles Noë) who mixed the album. This is a first for Altin Gün, who had always recorded on tape with their own sound engineer. The groovy Anatolian psychedelic vein is present, but we also discover Brazilian influences, cosmic reggae, and disco grooves.
