Description

Formed by three musicians who have performed alongside Dutchman Jacco Gardner, the band celebrates 70s Anatolian rock, with a groove that could wake the dead. The revelation of Les Trans Musicales de Rennes 2017. One might think this Turkish-speaking group originated in Istanbul. In fact, it was founded in Amsterdam at the end of 2016 by a Dutch bassist, Jasper Verhulst – who usually performs with the retro-futuristic Jacco Gardner – and who fell in love with the golden age (altin gün, in Turkish) of the Anatolian rock scene. Their music might seem kitsch, but it is, on the contrary, exhilaratingly exotic.
