Sometimes two things come together and from their union something entirely new emerges. In 2018/2019, Alin Coen and the STÜBA Philharmonie played seven joint concerts, all sold out. The response was overwhelming: "People kept asking for recordings," recalls Alin Coen. "They simply wanted to take these pieces, this special constellation, this concert hall atmosphere home with them." And so a tour project turned into a complete album 'Alin Coen|Stüba Philharmonie'. The album contains selected songs by Alin Coen, newly arranged and recorded with and by the STÜBA Philharmonie. A symphony orchestra from Central Germany, whose exclusively volunteer musicians engage in selected musical collaborations in their free time. In the newly arranged songs, primarily in German, partly also in English, Alin Coen tells with gentleness the stories of beauty and pain and all the feelings in between. This emotional intensity is amplified by the orchestra: the subtle arrangements reveal even more emotional nuances between Alin Coen's lines. The orchestra carries the voice, counterpoints it, drives it forward.
