Released in 1971, ‘Journey In Satchidananda’ is the artist's fourth album. Recorded in her home studio in 1970, the last track comes from a live session captured at the Village Gate jazz club in New York the same year. This album would mark Alice Coltrane's most introspective and spiritual turn.

Her encounter with the saxophonist would have an absolute impact on the artistic direction she would take after his death.
