{"product_id":"alexander-spence_oar_2026_disco-bertus-france","title":"Oar","description":"Born in Canada, Alexander \"Skip\" Spence was the co-founder of Moby Grape, a band with which he played guitar until 1969. That same year, he released his only solo album: \"Oar\". The album was recorded after Spence had spent six months in a psychiatric hospital following an attempted hatchet attack on his Moby Grape bandmates, under the influence of a delusion caused by LSD ingestion. Legend has it that on the day of his release, he rode to Nashville on a motorcycle, wearing only his pajamas, to record his album. In reality, he recorded this album in seven days, playing all the instruments himself, and the result is now considered a classic of psychedelic folk. After this album, Spence largely withdrew from the music world. \"Oar\" is available in a limited edition of 1,000 individually numbered copies on transparent vinyl.","brand":"Alexander Spence","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57317257118040,"sku":null,"price":20260515.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/8719262044111.jpg?v=1779111617","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/alexander-spence_oar_2026_disco-bertus-france","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
