In a whirlwind of changes, "Who's Keeping Time ?" is a reflection on the seasons of life — fleeting truths of beauty and chaos. For 10 days in August 2025, we recorded this album in the attic of my 1892 Victorian house in Portland, Oregon, where all the songs were written. The atmosphere was reminiscent of a mouse house: a cozy world of old blankets, musical instruments, acoustic panels, memories, worries, my great-grandmother's dolls, old photographs, paintings, and colorful rugs. Sunlight streamed through the skylights while Maggie the cat slept on the preamps and inside guitar cases. We played these songs together in a single room: no click, no gimmicks, no fuss.
