{"product_id":"aldo-romano_reborn_2020","title":"Reborn","description":"Continuing a collaboration of several years, Le TRITON has given Aldo Romano carte blanche for a series of concerts. These have led to emotional reunions with musicians who participated in the vibrant projects that have marked his musical journey. These reunions are the subject of this album, Reborn. Born on January 16, 1941, in Belluno, in northeastern Italy, Aldo Romano is a jazz drummer. He moved to Paris in the late 1950s. Originally a guitarist, he taught himself to play the drums in 1961 by listening to Ed Blackwell, Billy Higgins, Elvin Jones, Sunny Murray, and others. His career as a drummer began in 1963 when he started working with Don Cherry. His first album as a leader was released in 1978. From there, he collaborated with many musicians, including Bud Powell, Michel Petrucciani, Jackie McLean, Johnny Griffin, Gordon Beck, Dexter Gordon, and Keith Jarrett. Aldo Romano dedicated the album Threesome to his friend Claude Nougaro in April 2004. He is also well-known today for the trio he formed in 1995 with Louis Sclavis and Henri Texier. He recorded with them Carnet de Routes (1995) and Suite Africaine (1999) on Label Bleu, based on a project conducted in Africa with photographer Guy LeQuerrec. Aldo Romano has been the patron of the jazz festival in Porquerolles since its inception in 2002. In 2004, he won the Jazzpar Prize.","brand":"Aldo Romano","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58295726211416,"sku":null,"price":20201101.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/3521383459164.jpg?v=1787870520","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/aldo-romano_reborn_2020","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
