Alanis Morissette will release her first meditation album "the storm before the calm". This album, which gives permission to feel and the safety to ask, will be released in digital format and on 2CD. Both versions include 11 tracks of relaxing meditation that Alanis wrote with Dave Harrington. Since 1995, Alanis Morissette has been one of the most influential singer-songwriters-musicians in contemporary music. Her deeply expressive music and performances have earned her critical acclaim and seven Grammy Awards. Alanis's first album in 1995, "JAGGED LITTLE PILL", was followed by nine other eclectic and acclaimed albums. She has contributed musically to theatrical productions and has appeared on both the big and small screens. Outside of performing, she is a passionate advocate for women's empowerment, as well as spiritual, psychological, and physical well-being. In 2001, Alanis received the Global Tolerance Award from Friends of the United Nations for her contribution to promoting tolerance through the arts. In 2016, Alanis launched Conversation with Alanis Morissette, a monthly podcast featuring conversations with various revered authors, doctors, educators, and therapists, covering a wide range of psychosocial topics from spirituality to developmentalism to art. On December 5, 2019, the musical "JAGGED LITTLE PILL" premiered on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York. The show was nominated for fifteen Tony Awards and won 2 Tony Awards at the 2021 ceremony. In July 2020, Alanis released her ninth studio album, Such Pretty Forks In The Road, which received critical acclaim. In August 2021, Alanis kicked off her sold-out world tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill. This tour became the first female tour of 2021 and one of the top global tours of 2021, with over 500,000 tickets sold. Alanis also stars in the Fox sitcom, "The Great North".
