Renowned for their captivating live albums, such as *Wood Blues* and *Giant Beauty*, both critically acclaimed last year, Ahmed presents "Sama'a" (Audition), the first of two albums to be released following Ahmed's initial studio recording sessions at The Fish Factory studio in North London in early 2025. Since 2014, Ahmed has been exploring and reinventing the music of Ahmed Abdul-Malik, in a continuous quest for new sounds. More than a decade later, the band finally had the opportunity to record in the studio, and thanks to the meticulous work of sound engineer Benedic Lamdin, "Sama'a" is their most accomplished work to date.
