The French pianist Adam Laloum (born in Toulouse in 1987) is one of the most promising musicians of his generation. Winner of the Clara Haskil competition in 2009, he won multiple awards in 2013 for his first recordings. In 2017, he won the Victoire de la Musique Classique in the category of "Instrumental Soloist of the Year." He now performs worldwide and triumphs on the most beautiful musical stages, from the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris to Wigmore Hall in London, from the Verbier Festival in Switzerland to the Philharmonie in Berlin, for example. For his first recording under the Sony Classical label, he offers us Brahms' two Piano Concertos, two cornerstones of the romantic repertoire for piano and orchestra, great masterpieces that require performers of significant technical and stylistic stature. The orchestra is conducted by the great Japanese conductor Kazuki Yamada, who, after being an assistant to Charles Dutoit and Seiji Ozawa, is now the principal guest conductor of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
