Across ten songs, Activity blend experimental rock, electronics, and found sounds with a sense of paranoia, glimmers of hope, and a warped reality. Collaborating with producer Jeff Berner (of Psychic TV), the avant-garde outfit manipulated sounds and toyed with the acoustics of the room to create a sense of disorientation, as if the air was thick and the walls were listening. Coming out of a period of uncertainty, the Brooklyn-based quartet assembled the album from fragments: cut-up samples, looping guitar lines, ghostly melodies.
