Since his first concerts as a tenor saxophonist in the 1970s, Ab Schaap has not only contributed to the history of Dutch jazz, but has also demonstrated his versatility as a composer and educator in the following decades. Some of the best musicians in the Netherlands have now come together in a septet that plays Ab Schaap's compositions and arrangements.
