A POETIC AND ADDICTIVE DEBUT ALBUMPRODUCED BY 3 PILLARS OF INDIANAPOLIS'ALTERNATIVE HIP-HOP SCENEThe group 81355 (pronounced BLESS) is thefruit of the collaboration of three pillars of theIndianapolis music scene: Sirius Blvck, OreoJones, and Sedcairn Archives. While they haveworked together in the past, this is their firstfull-fledged collaboration, and the result is thestunning and distinctive Time I’ll Be of Use. Atonce mystical and pure, dark and danceable, the project grapples with preconceived truthsand imagines alternative realities with a betterfuture. These daydreams wandering throughfiery streets sound like a cross between theghost of 70s progressive electronic music withits innovative eccentricities and acrobaticwordplay delivered with strong resolve. While surreal in its metaphors and abstraction, it doesnot betray a present consciousness. Reflectingon racism in the context of a pandemic-ridden2020 and a faltering democracy, each memberstarted from a synchronized space, and the recording process ended up being largelyintuitive. These three musical vagabonds ultimately deliver an incredible, poetic, andaddictive alternative hip-hop record.
