Following the acclaimed 'Wenu Wenu' and 'Bahdeni Nami' in 2015, then the success of 'To Syria With Love' in 2017 and collaborations with Björk and Four Tet, Omar Souleyman presents his fourth and new studio album: Shlon.
The album's romantic poetry is the work of Moussa Al Mardood - a long-time collaborator of Omar's. Six tracks are offered to us, with Love as the sole and unique theme. All these tracks are based on avant-garde techno sounds for the genre, and high-speed dabkes and Kurdish and Arabic styles, with the exception of Mawwal, whose rhythm is traditionally slower.
