Patrick Rondat started playing guitar in 1978, influenced strongly by Al Di Meola's picking technique to develop rapid melodic playing. His 1989 debut album "Just For Fun" marked the start of a prolific career combining progressive and hard rock styles with metal and roots reggae elements. Rondat's career highlights include performing at Monsters of Rock opening for AC/DC and Metallica, as well as a long collaboration with electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre.

His 1991 album "Rape Of The Earth" gained wider recognition, while "Amphibia" (1996) and "On The Edge" (1999) showcase his evolving sound incorporating jazz influences. Rondat also contributed to the group Elegy in the early 2000s.
