Mudhoney
About
Mudhoney, Seattle grunge pioneers blending garage rock and alternative sounds since 1988.
16 vinyl releases including original 1989 debut and 2023's Plastic Eternity with tracked prices and multiple pressings.
Mudhoney emerged from Seattle's late 1980s music scene, combining grunge, alternative rock, and garage influences. The band started with Mark Arm and Steve Turner, both formerly of Green River, adding Dan Peters on drums and Matt Lukin on bass. Early releases on Sub Pop helped define the Seattle sound and grunge genre. They released their eponymous debut album in 1989 followed by Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge in 1991, both available on vinyl with various pressings and reissues.
After signing with Reprise Records, Mudhoney shifted style slightly but later returned to their roots with albums like Under a Billion Suns (2006). Their more recent works include 2018's Digital Garbage and 2023's Plastic Eternity, available as limited edition vinyl LPs.
