Timelessness is surely Yann Tiersen's second great strength, and it seems obvious that La Valse Des Monstres, Rue Des Cascades, or Le Phare are by no means soundtracks of a particular period, much less generational albums. Titles like \"La Dispute\", \"La Pièce Vide\" or \"Comptine d'Été\" are obvious proofs, as the emotion remains intact more than 15 years after their release. And today, perhaps even more than a reference, Yann Tiersen seems to be above all an influence. His language has undoubtedly left its mark on many artists, recognized or not, in their way of feeling, perceiving, and writing music.
